PsyD Students & Faculty Participate in March for Our Lives Rally to Advocate for Ending Gun Violence & to Raise Awareness for Mental Health

Living out Medaille’s mission of educating and developing empowered, civic-minded individuals who contribute to a healthy, diverse democracy, students and faculty from Medaille’s clinical psychology doctoral (PsyD) program participated in the March for Our Lives Rally in Buffalo on Saturday, June 11, to advocate for taking action to stop gun violence and to help raise awareness on related mental health topics.

The Pitfall of the Blame Game

Vice President for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Kenya Hobbs reflects on the tragic mass shooting that took place on May 14 in Buffalo, as well as on the issues and questions surrounding the hate-fueled atrocity. While he acknowledges that it is natural to look for answers and pose tough questions in the wake of tragedy, he urges everyone to use their energy to be part of the solution instead.

Introducing 易博App

On May 17, the New York State Education Department Board of Regents approved an amendment to Medaille’s charter to make the institution a university, effectively immediately. Medaille has begun to launch its transition to 易博App, with more formal celebrations and unveilings planned for the fall, when the 2022-23 academic year begins.
